Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu (Template:Translation) is a 2026 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela. It stars Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nayanthara, and Catherine Tresa.
The film was theatrically released on 12 January 2026, coinciding with Sankranti.
Plot
National security officer Vara Prasad, separated from his wife and children for six years, longs for a chance to reunite with them. Prasad gets a second chance when he’s assigned to protect his estranged wife and children from a vengeful ex-cop. In his fight to keep them safe, he also fights to earn back their trust and love.
Cast
Production
In March 2025, director Anil Ravipudi narrated a script to actor Chiranjeevi, marking their maiden collaboration.[2] It was formally launched with the working title Mega 157 (intended to be Chiranjeevi's 157th film as lead actor).[3] Principal photography began in mid-2024 with filming taking place across Hyderabad and select rural locations in Andhra Pradesh.[4] Filming also took place in Kerala,[5] and Dehradun.[6]
In May 2025, actress Nayanthara was cast opposite Chiranjeevi.[7] Venkatesh was signed for a "substantial role" in the film.[6] It is also the first time Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh are appearing on the screen together in their decades long career.[8] Shooting wrapped up 14 December 2025.
Music
The soundtrack and background score was composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.[9]
Release
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu was theatrically released on 12 January 2026, coinciding with Sankranti. It will be clashing with the films The Raja Saab and Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi.[10]
